RB Leipzig are in advanced talks to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Rocco Reitz, according to Bild.

The report states that negotiations with Gladbach will not be necessary, as Reitz can leave via a release clause believed to be worth around €20 million.

The 23-year-old is seen as a potential replacement for Xaver Schlager, who is set to depart Leipzig when his contract expires this summer, as recently confirmed by the club.

Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Brighton & Hove Albion have also been linked with a move for Reitz.

Leipzig are additionally said to be interested in Hertha BSC’s 16-year-old prodigy Kennet Eichhorn, who reportedly has a €12 million release clause. However, competition for the highly-rated youngster's signature is fierce.
