RB Leipzig are working on a deal for FC Köln's Max Finkgräfe, according to the latest report from Sky Germany.

The German full-back is open to a transfer, with Die Roten Bullen and Köln already in contact over a possible transfer.

Florian Plettenberg and Philipp Hinze note that the 21-year-old Finkgräfe is one of three candidates for Leipzig’s left-back position

TSG Hoffenheim were also believed to be interested, but it's unlikely that the Sinsheim club will try to compete for his signature.

A ligament tear and hamstring injury curtailed a lot of his season despite still managing to make 14 appearances in the 2.Bundesliga campaign.
