Hertha BSC's Ibrahim Maza is set to become Bayer Leverkusen’s first signing of the summer, according to Bild and Sky Germany.

Bild reports that the 19-year-old playmaker will put pen to paper on a long-term contract with Leverkusen following Hertha’s match against 1. FC Magdeburg on Friday evening. According to Sky, the deal will run until 2030.

Hertha are expected to receive a fixed transfer fee of around €10 million for the highly-rated teenager.

Born in Berlin, Maza represents the Algerian national team and has been one of Hertha’s standout performers this season, registering seven goals and five assists in 32 competitive appearances.

He’ll now aim to carry that form into the Bundesliga - potentially stepping in as a successor to Florian Wirtz, who could depart Leverkusen this summer.
