Terzic provides squad update, confirms new injury setback for Morey
Ahead of Borussia Dortmund's clash with Hoffenheim, head coach Edin Terzic gave an update on his squad and revealed that Mateu Morey has suffered a new injury setback.
Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has given a squad update ahead of his side's Bundesliga clash with Hoffenheim this Friday.
"[Donyell] Malen will not be fit enough to play this weekend. There are still question marks with [Mahmoud] Dahoud and [Karim] Adeyemi," Terzic told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
"'Gio' Reyna has been back in training since Sunday, with him it looks good for Friday," added the BVB boss.
Terzic also confirmed that Mateu Morey, who hasn't played for the first team since April 2021 for injury reasons, has suffered a new setback.
"Unfortunately, Mateu will not be available to us for a long time. He had to undergo surgery on the lateral meniscus of his left knee yesterday. Accordingly, we will have to do without him in the coming months. Of course, that hurts us a lot."
