Pressure is mounting on RB Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco following yesterday's embarrassing 1-4 defeat at the hands of Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

The defeat comes just days after a 4-0 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt, which saw Leipzig drop to 11th in the Bundesliga table with just five points for five games.

Since RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff rejected an interview last night, Tedesco was left alone to answer questions about the current crisis at the club.

"I'm not concerned about my position. I'm very disappointed right now after the game, but tomorrow (Wednesday) the world will look different again," Tedesco told DAZN in a post-match interview.

"It's difficult to find the right words. It's crazy how the game developed. It reflects what we have been experiencing in recent weeks."

"I can only say that I'm extremely disappointed with the result. But starting tomorrow, the focus will be on the Dortmund game," said the Leipzig coach, referring to his side's upcoming Bundesliga clash with BVB at Red Bull Arena.

It's been claimed that Leipzig have already lined up former Salzburg, Gladbach and Dortmund boss Marco Rose as a possible replacement for Tedesco, should the 36-year-old lose his job.
