VfB Stuttgart have identified Olympique Marseille winger Nemanja Radonjic as a transfer target in January, Sport1 understands.

According to the German media outlet, Stuttgart hope to sign Radonjic on loan until the end of the season.

Radonjic, 22, has made just five Ligue 1 appearances since he joined Olympique Marseille from Serbian side Crvena Zvezda for €12 million in the summer of 2018.

Back in May, when Radonjic still played for Crvena Zvezda, Stuttgart tabled a €8 million bid for him, but the offer was turned down.

Recently, Stuttgart announced the signing of Hertha BSC winger Alexander Esswein on loan until the rest of the season.

The Swabian club have been linked with a number of other players in recent months, including Borussia Dortmund's Maximilian Philipp, Galatasaray's Garry Rodrigues and Borussia Mönchengladbach's Josip Drmic and Patrick Herrmann.
