Hoeness sees no need to sign a number six

Following the arrival of Konrad Laimer, Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness does not see the need for further reinforcements at the number six position.

Bayern Munich were heavily linked with a move for West Ham United's Declan Rice at the start of the transfer window.

However, after losing out to Arsenal in the race for the England international's signature, it no longer appears that the Bavarians are looking to sign a holding midfielder.

Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeness, at least, sees no need to strengthen in that area following the signing of Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig.

"This discussion does not arise for me because Konrad Laimer is a transfer we will be very happy with," Hoeness told AZ on Saturday evening.
