Report: Bochum's contract talks with Asano collapse, Gladbach interested

With Takuma Asano set to leave Bochum on a free transfer this summer, Gladbach are one of several Bundesliga clubs interested, Bild reports.
VfL Bochum's talks to extend Takuma Asano's contract beyond the summer have broken down, according to Bild.

The report claims that several other Bundesliga clubs, including Gladbach, are monitoring the situation of the 29-year-old attacker, with the possibility of signing him on a free transfer in the summer.

Asano would demand a salary of around €1.5-2 million per season, according to the German tabloid.

He is currently on international duty with Japan, who play their first match of the Asian Cup against Vietnam on Sunday.
