Julian Ryerson and Antonio Nusa kept their starting berths as Norway face Senegal with an unchanged team for their second match of Group I. After a nearly three-decade absence, the Scandinavians started their campaign with a confident win over Iraq.
The set-piece specialist and RB Leipzig’s youngster played their part, while the former teammate of the right-back at Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland, scored a brace on his World Cup debut.
Senegal gave France a scare before Kylian Mbappe and Michael Olise produced a scintillating second-half display last week. Meisterschale winners with FC Bayern – Sadio Mane and Nicolas Jackson – start as Pape Thiaw is also making no changes to his XI.
In addition, ex-Köln coach Ståle Solbakken has two former RB Leipzig players on his lineup with Ørjan Nyland and Alexander Sorloth at either end of the pitch. Meanwhile, current FC Bayern midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye will hope to make his tournament debut for Senegal off the bench.
