Kingsley Coman not worried about potential competition from Leroy Sané
Kingsley Coman claims he isn't worried about the competition that Leroy Sané would create at Bayern München should the German international make the move to Allianz Arena.
Kingsley Coman insists it will not be a problem for him if Leroy Sané joins Bayern München from Manchester City this summer.
The German champions have been continuously linked with the winger, and Bayern coach Hansi Flick has admitted that he would like to bring in a new wide player for next season.
Should Sané arrive at Allianz Arena, he would increase competition for places on the wing and possibly push Coman down the pecking order, but the Frenchman claims he isn't worried about the prospect of competing with the German international.
"He's a very good player. It's normal that Bayern want to bring in a player like him," Coman said in an interview with Sport Bild and added:
"When I came to FC Bayern, we had Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and me. I was still a young player, and the the legends Ribery and Robben were in front of me. This shows that it's not a problem for me. It's better for the team if there are lots of players at a high level.
"It's not a problem if Sané comes unless the club tell me that they don't need me anymore. But I think the club know what they have in me. Leroy Sané's situation has nothing to do with my future."
Coman's contract with Bayern expires in 2023.
