According to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio, Bayern are one of the clubs that are interested in acquiring the Moroccan's services, however, it was reported by Fabrizio Romano earlier this week that French giants PSG were the leading club, having already opened talks with the Serie A champions.

Inter Milan are said to be ready to offload Hakimi, with French publication RMC reporting that talks between PSG and Inter are progressing well.

The Nerazzurri are said to be asking for a fee over €60m with other reports suggest the figure could reach €80m including bonuses. Bayern have worked with Inter before when they struck an agreement for a one-year loan for Croatian winger Ivan Perisic last season, however, they could not agree on a permanent transfer fee despite both parties being interested in making the deal happen.

Another potential stumbling block for any team trying to make a move for Hakimi is Real Madrid. Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid have a right of first refusal, which means they can match any offer put forward by another club, but as of yet there has been no contact between the Spanish side and Inter.

The wing-back has had experience in the Bundesliga before of course with a very successful two-year loan spell from Real Madrid to Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern will be looking to upgrade the right-hand side of their defence after an underwhelming season from Frenchman Bouna Sarr.
