VfL Wolfsburg is reportedly accelerating its bid to sign right full-back Milan van Ewijk from Coventry City.

Both Kicker and Sky Germany report that an agreement between the Dutch full-back and the Bundesliga club has been reached.

However, an agreement with the EFL Championship side itself is still pending, therefore Die Wölfe have held fire since.

Wolfsburg have been searching for a new right-back for some time, and after links with Andrei Ratiu cooled off, they now want van Ewijk.

The 24-year-old, who has also been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt, is contracted to the English second-division club until 2027.

Last season, van Ewijk made 47 Championship appearances where he provided 2 goals and 4 assists in total.
