Bayern Munich have completed the signing of SD Aucas talent Virgilio Olaya, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
Having also been confirmed by Ecuadorian reporter Reinaldo Romero, the centre-half has agreed a deal to join the Bavarian club.
Olaya, a 1.88m defender, is expected to go straight out on loan with Bayern eager to further his development.
Still only 17 years of age, the defender has already started in 5 games for SD Aucas in the Ecuadorian topflight.
Although unlikely to play for Bayern's first team any time soon, the signing demonstrates the club's intent to explore South American talent.
