Bayern Munich have made an enquiry about Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck, according to Sky Germany.
The report notes that the Bavarians have expressed their interest, should he decide not to extend his contract at BVB.
Dortmund are optimistic that he will extend his contract beyond 2027 and he is expected to become one of the club’s top earners.
A gross annual salary of around €10million is being mooted for the 25-year-old centre-back who has not yet made a final decision.
Furthermore, rumours linking Schlotterbeck to reigning Premier League champions Liverpool are considered wide of the mark.
There are no concrete plans in place for Arne Slot and the Reds to approach the German defender in the next two transfer windows.
