After relieving Albert Riera of his duties at the end of the 2025/26 season, Eintracht Frankfurt are searching for a new head coach.

The current frontrunner appears to be Adi Hütter, with Kicker reporting that while there are still details to be clarified, both parties are optimistic that an agreement will be reached.

If everything goes smoothly, Hütter could complete his return to Eintracht as early as the beginning of next week.

The 56-year-old coached Eintracht from 2018 to 2021 and guided the Hessen side to the Europa League semi-finals in his first season at the club.

He since moved on to Borussia Mönchengladbach and later AS Monaco, who dismissed him in October 2025.
