Borussia Mönchengladbach will reportedly have to say goodbye to one of their most promising youth players.

According to Bild, 18-year-old Can Armando Güner is set to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on a contract running until 2029.

Gladbach had hoped to extend Güner’s contract, which expires this summer, with head coach Eugen Polanski a big admirer of the winger's qualities, according to Bild.

However, the 18-year-old has decided to leave, with Galatasaray reportedly paying around €1 million for the transfer.

The youngster is expected to immediately join Galatasaray’s first-team squad after playing for the U19 team at Borussia Mönchengladbach so far this season.

On the international stage, Güner is eligible to represent Argentina, Germany and Turkey.

He has already played for both Germany and Argentina at youth level.
