Klopp to give "serious consideration" if Real Madrid offer head coach role
Jürgen Klopp is a candidate for the head coach position at Real Madrid, should the club decide to appoint a new manager in the summer.
The Galacticos and former Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso parted ways yesterday after a mutual agreement to terminate his deal.
Earlier this morning, Klopp even discussed the dismissal of the Spanish gaffer from the club from the Spanish capital with ServusTV.
Sky Germany first revealed the news of Real Madrid's interest in Klopp on 11 December and have since confirmed it again.
Despite Klopp’s long-term contract with Red Bull and his strong ties to the Red Bull project, Real Madrid hold a major appeal for him.
If Real were to make a serious move, Klopp would give it serious consideration and could leave his role of Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull.
The 58-year-old Stuttgart native first took on the role in January 2025 – he hasn't coached since stepping away from Liverpool in May 2024.
