Atlético Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen are already negotiating to reach an agreement on the transfer fee for Alejandro Grimaldo.
According to transfer journalist Mateo Moretto, Leverkusen is demanding a sum of around €25 million including bonuses.
Meanwhile, the La Liga side are less eager to spend as much and are unwilling to exceed €18-20million with bonuses included.
Still, the fixed transfer fee is expected to be relatively low, at around €10-13 million, as previously reported.
Negotiations are ongoing and the relationship between the two clubs is strong, which could aid the successful completion of the transfer.
Grimaldo wants to return to Spain and is excited about the opportunity to wear the Atlético Madrid jersey.
However, Kicker painted a different picture on Friday. According to the German outlet, Bayer Leverkusen have set a €30 million asking price and are reluctant to lower it significantly.
