Multiple reports: Barkok's January move to Mainz is off
Sport1 and Bild report that Aymen Barkok will stay at Eintracht Frankfurt beyond the transfer deadline.
Aymen Barkok's January switch from Eintracht Frankfurt to Mainz is off, according to several reports.
Sky Germany reported earlier today that the 23-year-old could join Mainz before today's transfer deadline, but Sport1 and Bild are reporting that the deal is off.
Instead, Barkok is expected to complete the move in the summer, at which point he is out of contract.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been limited to just six appearances this season.
