If Joshua Kimmich is to be believed, he will be responsible for taking any and all Bayern spot-kicks in the immediate future. The German national team midfielder converted from the spot in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City. It was the sixth goal across all competitions for club this season from the determined six, who adamantly declared that he wished to rack up more tallies in the new calendar year.

Linkesch asked Kimmich if it had been previously agreed upon that he would be the team's designated spot-kick-taker on Wednesday. The German journalist then wished to know if Kimmich would shoulder the responsibility in the days and weeks to come. The answer to both questions was a terse "yes".

Kimmich is one of four FCB players who have taken penalties this year.

Serge Gnabry, Sadio Mané, and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are the other three.
