Jean-Philippe Mateta has revealed that he wants to leave Mainz this summer.
Jean-Philippe Mateta has made it clear that he is looking to depart Mainz at the end of the season.
"That's my goal, yes," the striker confirmed in an interview with Bild.
"I prefer a club where the sporting project convinces me and helps me move forward. That's more important to me than the financial aspect. I'm 22 years old, and I want to play and win titles," he added.
Mateta has been linked with Sevilla and Napoli. His contract runs until 2023.
