Grosskreutz: Götze would be a good fit for Liverpool

Former Borussia Dortmund player Kevin Grosskreutz advises Mario Götze to go abroad in the winter and says Liverpool would be a good destination for the midfielder.
Mario Götze, who has been limited to just two appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season, should seriously consider joining a foreign club when the transfer window opens in January, former BVB player Kevin Grosskreutz says.

Götze's current situation is drawing a lot of focus in Germany, and Grosskreutz believes the midfielder would find more peace to get his career back on track if he moves abroad.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool, where he could be reunited with former coach Jürgen Klopp, and according to Grosskreutz, that would be a good move for both parties.

"I'm very sorry for Mario Götze at the moment, because stuff is written about him - and only him - every day. In Bruges, for example, the whole team didn't play well," Grosskreutz said during today's 'Wontorra - der o2 Fußball-Talk' TV show on Sky and added:

"Maybe it would be good for him to go abroad in the winter to find a bit more peace and bring his career back on track. Klopp knows him quite well, he would be a good fit for Liverpool."

Götze, 26, was in the line-up for the midweek match against Club Brugge, but was left out of the squad for the Bundesliga game against Hoffenheim yesterday and is still to play in the league this season.
