Schmadtke confirms Lacroix will stay at Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg boss Jörg Schmadtke has ruled out a transfer for Maxence Lacroix amid reported interest from RB Leipzig and Tottenham.
VfL managing director for sport Jörg Schmadtke has made it clear that Maxence Lacroix will not be going anywhere this summer.

Lacroix has been linked with the likes of Tottenham and RB Leipzig, but the 21-year-old is set to stay at Wolfsburg, who have turned down multiple bids for their prized asset.

"We have rejected everything. It's no longer a topic," Schmadtke told Sportbuzzer.

"Maxence is staying. Everyone knows now - and that's the most important thing."

Wolfsburg paid €5 million to bring Lacroix to Germany from French side FC Sochaux last summer.

He remains under contract with 'Die Wölfe' until 2024.
