VfL Wolfsburg are looking into the possibility of bringing Luca Waldschmidt back to Germany, according to Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Per the report, 'Die Wölfe' are in advanced talks to sign the 25-year-old Benfica striker.
Waldschmidt left Freiburg to make the switch to Portugal for €15 million last summer and still has four years left on his contract.
He has featured 43 times for Benfica, racking up 12 goals and four assists.
