According to sources at Sky Germany, Real Madrid remains heavily interested in Bayer Leverkusen talent Christian Kofane.

The Cameroonian, who transferred to Bayer Leverkusen for €5.25 million in summer, has so far impressed despite limited minutes.

In just over 1,015 minutes across all competitions, the 19-year-old has chipped in with 5 goals and 5 assists.

Real Madrid had previously planned to sign him for their second team Real Madrid Castilla, but ultimately Leverkusen beat them to it.

Nevertheless, Kofane remains on the shortlist of potential transfers for Madrid who recently parted with ex-Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso.

Should the Spanish giants make a concrete bid this summer, Leverkusen would reportedly demand a transfer fee well over €50million.
