Having spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign at 1. FC Union Berlin on loan from LOSC Lille, Andrej Ilic is set to remain in the German capital.

On Monday evening, the Bundesliga club announced that the striker’s move has been made permanent.

"I felt at home at Union from day one – on the pitch, at the club and with the fans,” said Ilic.

“Even though things didn't go quite as I had hoped in the first few months, I felt that I was being given confidence from the second half of the season onwards.

The fact that I was then able to contribute so well and that we won important games together makes me very happy. I am now all the more delighted to continue to be part of this team and this special club.”

Ilic has scored seven goals in 17 games for Union Berlin.
