Jürgen Klopp could be officially announced as Germany’s next head coach by Friday. Meanwhile, Bild reported that the agreement between Red Bull and the DFB involved a donation to charity instead of a compensation fee.

According to the publication, DFB will donate €1million to “Wings for Life”, a non-profit foundation by Red Bull. The donation will go directly to medical spinal research by the foundation.

Klopp has been the Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull GmbH since the start of 2025. The former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund coach has played a big role in RB Leipzig’s decision to replace Ole Werner with Martín Demichelis.

DFB went their separate ways with Julian Nagelsmann after Germany’s early exit at the World Cup. While Klopp is preparing for his first international football experience, Italy are linked with Pep Guardiola, who competed with the German for years in the Premier League.
