As reported by Bild, TSG Hoffenheim and Andrej Kramarić are moving closer to an agreement over an extension of the striker’s contract beyond the summer.

“The discussions are going well and in the right direction. We want Andrej to be here next season as well," Schicker told the German tabloid, adding that he's hopeful of “being able to make an announcement soon.”

Kramarić, who has spent more than 10 years at Hoffenheim, reaffirmed his strong connection to the Bundesliga club.

“I only know that I have already written a beautiful story here. I am happy and feel very comfortable here," said the 34-year-old, who added that the final decision ultimately lies with the club's management.

Kramarić provided another strong reminder of his value on Saturday, scoring twice from the penalty spot to earn the Sinsheim-based side a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.
