As things stand, Brajan Gruda is set to leave RB Leipzig and return to Brighton & Hove Albion once his loan spell ends at the end of the season.

However, according to Sport Bild, Leipzig would like to keep the 21-year-old for at least another season.

The German outlet describes a permanent transfer as “impossible”, as Brighton would want to recoup most of the €31.5 million fee they paid to sign Gruda from Mainz in 2024.

Because of this, Leipzig are exploring alternative options to keep the German attacker, such as another loan deal.

Gruda has scored three goals and provided three assists for Leipzig since joining from Brighton in January.
