Liverpool, City and Real interested - Bayern relaxed over Olise rumours

Reports linking Michael Olise with some of Europe's biggest clubs have surfaced in recent days, but Bayern Munich appear unconcerned about the speculation surrounding their star winger.

According to Bild football chief Christian Falk, Bayern are not worried about losing Olise next summer despite growing interest from the Premier League and Spain. Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all said to be monitoring the 23-year-old Frenchman, whose value has reportedly climbed beyond €115 million.

However, Bayern’s stance is clear: Olise is not for sale. Those in charge at Säbener Straße remain confident he will stay in Munich for the long term. The club were already surprised last summer that more top English sides didn’t make a stronger push for him when he was still at Crystal Palace.

Only Newcastle United were seriously in the race back then, according to the report. Now, Bayern want to move pre-emptively once again to keep Premier League clubs at bay.

Bayern planning contract extension

Discussions over a new long-term contract have been ongoing for some time. Falk notes that while Bayern are keen to extend Olise’s deal, they are not in the strongest negotiating position.

The increasing international interest will likely strengthen the player’s hand, especially when it comes to salary expectations. Olise currently earns around €14 million per year, and a raise appears inevitable.

That said, Bayern’s wage structure remains a consideration. Club leaders have repeatedly urged sporting director Max Eberl to keep salary levels in check, with Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich reportedly earning around €20 million annually and Harry Kane at the top of the scale on up to €24 million.

Still, Bayern could make an exception for Olise, whose talent and long-term potential make him one of the club’s key assets for the coming years.
