With Manchester United and Newcastle United locked in a bidding war for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, the player now appears to have made a key decision about his future.

According to GiveMeSport, the Daily Mirror, and The Athletic, Sesko has expressed a preference to join Manchester United over Newcastle.

Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, claims the striker has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United on a contract running until 2030.

However, Sky Germany reports that as of Wednesday morning, Newcastle’s offer remains the highest.

The German outlet states that the Magpies are willing to pay a total of €90 million, meeting Leipzig’s valuation.

Manchester United, who made an initial €85 million offer (including bonuses) on Tuesday, have reportedly since increased their base offer to around €80 million plus add-ons, with the exact structure of the bid still being discussed between the two clubs.
