The Bavarians ended a four-game winless streak with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Hertha BSC yesterday to move back to the top of the Bundesliga.
Speaking to Sport1 after the game, Goretzka expressed his feelings on how tough the last few weeks have been for the Bayern squad.
"There's a lot of noise around the club. Players are completely destroyed in the media. It certainly doesn't help. As players we have to put up with a lot at the moment. Whether it's right or not doesn't really matter. It's not nice," the midfielder said.
"We've been around long enough to know that's part of it. That's why we have to give our answers on the pitch."
"I think some [players] have gotten more [criticism] in the last few weeks. We'll give the answers on the pitch. Anything else won't help. We have all learned that by now.
