Freund speaks on uncertain futures of Kimmich, Davies and Sane

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has given an update on Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies and Leroy Sane, who are all out of contract in 2025.
Joshua Kimmich has recently been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich, with some reports suggesting a summer exit can't be ruled out.

Paris Saint-Germain, with whom Bayern are in talks over a loan move for Nordi Mukiele, are said to be big suitors for the German international, but the Bavarians have no plans to let him go, sporting director Christoph Freund insists.

"I can only smile at that. It's completely absurd. Joshua Kimmich is a very important player for us, one of our leading players," Freund told Bild when asked about Paris Saint-Germain's interest and speculation that Kimmich could be involved in a swap deal for Mukiele.

"We are going to sit down and talk about his future. We know what we have in Jo Kimmich," he added.

Alphonso Davies' future with the Bavarians has also been questioned, with persistent speculation linking him with Real Madrid.

"'Phonzie' has a contract with us until 2025," Freund said of the speculation surrounding Davies' future.

"I am convinced that he is very happy playing for Bayern Munich. We would like him to stay at Bayern for longer. We will start talks about that as well."

Freund also expressed optimism about extending Leroy Sané's contract beyond 2025.

"There is a contract from both sides. There is no stress, but there will also be talks with Leroy. We are very, very happy that he is playing such a good season. And that's why I'm positive that he could stay at Bayern Munich for a long time," Freund said.
