Heynckes advises Schweinsteiger against taking a coaching job
Jupp Heynckes feels a coaching job wouldn't be the right fit for Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Former Bayern München coach Jupp Heynckes has advised Bastian Schweinsteiger against stepping into a coaching role after the 35-year-old recently announced that he will be retiring from football.
"I certainly don't think a coaching role would fit him. I would advise him against this profession, because he's very sensitive and doesn't like a lot of public attention," Heynckes wrote in Kicker and added:
"But a consulting position in management or a role as an international top ambassador for FC Bayern would be conceivable"
"In any case, I wish him all the best for this new phase of his life," Heynckes stated.
Schweinsteiger played under Heynckes at Bayern München.
