Union Berlin are set to complete the signing of Rick van Drongelen from Hamburger SV, according to various reports.

Bild is reporting that the 22-year-old centre-back is currently undergoing a medical with the German capital club.

Van Drongelen was limited to just four appearances last season due to a cruciate ligament rupture.

In Berlin, he will replace Nico Schlotterbeck, who is heading back to Freiburg after a loan spell with Union.
