In an interview with Zeitungsverlag Waiblingen (ZVW), Fabian Wohlgemuth spoke in detail about Nick Woltemade.

VfB Stuttgart's sporting director discussed the 23-year-old's future and whether talks with Bayern Munich have progressed.

“We signed a long-term contract with Nick a year and a half ago. It's still valid, and therefore we expect Nick to continue playing football with us next season. I believe he'll stay here next season. Nick Woltemade is a VfB player.

“If any talks take place, it's a matter between the two clubs. FC Bayern have expressed their interest to us.”

Wohlgemuth went on to explain just how well Woltemade is dealing with the media debate regarding a potential move to Bavaria.

“Nick is a great athlete and has an outstanding character. When we told him last summer that he wouldn't be part of the Champions League squad, he stepped up his game and handled it professionally.

"He has a family here and strongly identifies with the club. Regardless of how and when the matter is resolved, I'm absolutely certain that he'll find his best performance here afterwards,” he added.
