After spending the 2025/26 out on loan at FC Sion, Winsley Boteli has now joined the Swiss outfit permanently from Borussia Mönchengladbach, the Bundesliga side announced on Monday.

According to reports, FC Sion triggered an €3.5 million purchase option included in the agreement for the 19-year-old forward.

“We are happy for Winsley and for FC Sion that the loan spell worked out so positively for him,” said Borussia sporting director Rouven Schröder.

“At the same time, this transfer gives us early planning security from a sporting perspective and allows us to invest further in the squad.”

Boteli scored 11 goals in 38 appearances for FC Sion during the 2025/26 season.
