Stuttgart take interest in one of Højlund twins, Kicker reports

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that VfB Stuttgart are considering bringing in one of the younger Højlund twins as a developmental prospect.

Stuttgart's search for additional help at the striker position continues to be bogged down by high transfer fee demands. Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that FC Augsburg are holding firm to their €25 million figure, approximately €5 million more than the Swabians are willing to pay. "Sport Bild" also claims that Stuttgart considered 18-year-old Beşiktaş JK striker Semih Kılıçsoy as a lower-cost alternative, but that the Turkish club asked more than €20 million for the €12 million valued youngster.

Germany' preeminent footballing publication currently reports that, while the search for potential Serhou Guirassy/Deniz Undav replacements remains problematic, the 2023/24 Bundesliga runners-up may be preparing to snap up another attacking prospect for the future. One of Danish national team striker Rasmus Højlund is apparently a VfB target. The Man United forward has a set of twin brothers, Emil and Oscar, who are at the beginning of their careers.

The two 19-year-old twins are both out-of-contract with FC Copenhagen at the end of the current calendar year and could potentially be had on the cheap. Oscar plays as defensive midfielder while Emil works as a lead striker. Both brothers currently play for the Copenhagen U19s, but were given professional contracts this year. Kicker Magazine reports that Stuttgart are taking an active interest in Emil.
