Bayern deliver a masterclass - "double digits" victory against Auckland City

In what was the highest scoring game in the whole tournament's history, Bayern Munich showed their class in the 10-0 victory over Auckland City.

Bayern prepared a real goal fest for their fans in their first game of this year's Club World Cup: they've beaten underdog Auckland City 10-0 in the new home kit.

Kingsley Coman scored in the 6th minute and kicked off the tournament for Bayern Munich with a bang, becoming the first goalscorer unter the revamped format.

The floodgates were open and Sacha Boey became the second goalscorer of the day in the 18th minute after an assist of the brilliant Coman.

Michael Olise wanted to take part in the incoming goal fest: he scored Bayern's next goal (20th minute) and Coman followed him right after (22nd minute) to double Bayern's score.

Club legend Thomas Müller, who is currently playing his last ever games for Bayern, put the Bavarians 5-0 up in the 45th minute, thanks to an assist from Olise. The Frenchman then added his second goal of the game just before halftime - a depleted Auckland City team went into halftime 6-0 down.

Nobody questioned if Auckland could make a comeback in this game; the only real question was if Bayern would make it to double digits.

Bayern changed up their team a little bit after halftime and a recovered Jamal Musiala scored the 7th goal of the day in the 67th minute.

Bayern's potential number 10 of the future continued his good form and scored his 2nd (73rd minute) and 3rd (84th minute) goal to complete his 29-minute hattrick.

It seemed to be the final goal, but one man, who has proven to never get enough in football, went on to score the 10th goal of the game in the 89th minute: Thomas Müller.

Müller, Coman and Olise showed their fans standout-performances and Musiala really brought his team back into the flow of things when he came onto the pitch.

The biggest surprise of the evening was that THE goalscorer of the Bayern Munich team, Harry Kane, went goalless and got subbed off in the 61st minute.

Even though it was a tough pill to swallow for all Auckland City players, the whole club is happy to be in the tournament and loves to meet all the professional top clubs.

Maybe they will get their chances in the other games. Bayern on the other hand have cemented themselves as the early favourites to win the whole competition.
