Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Book has held a personal meeting with highly-rated Hertha BSC midfielder Kennet Eichhorn, according to Sport Bild.

The report claims Book met the 16-year-old in early April and made a move to Dortmund an appealing prospect for the youngster.

It follows earlier reporting from German football magazine Kicker, who stated two weeks ago that BVB had identified Eichhorn as a top summer transfer target.

However, Eichhorn is reportedly not fully convinced that Dortmund's playing style is the right fit for him.

At the same time, the Black and Yellows are far from alone in their interest, with RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen said to be among a number of other clubs monitoring the German youth international, who has a release clause in the region of €10-12 million.

At just 16, Eichhorn has established himself as a regular starter for Hertha in the 2. Bundesliga.
