On Sunday, TSG Hoffenheim confirmed that new signing Koki Machida suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

In response to the long-term injury, the Sinsheim club have now agreed a deal to sign Albian Hajdari from FC Lugano as his replacement, according to Sky Germany.

The 22-year-old Swiss centre-back is set to undergo his medical on Monday, with a reported transfer fee of €5 million agreed between the two clubs.

Hajdari, who has also been linked with Sevilla and West Ham, has made a total of 110 appearances for Lugano.
