In his 29 appearances for Liverpool last season, Ngumoha was only on the pitch for a combined 952 minutes across all competitions.

It is understood there was dissatisfaction over Rio Ngumoha's gametime under ex-Liverpool manager Arne Slot, the BBC reports.

As a result, a number of clubs throughout Europe have sensed an opportunity to prize Ngumoha away from Anfield in summer.

Bayern Munich are one of those clubs and were rumoured to have the English international top of their wishlist for the left wing spot.

Liverpool, though, are adamant they will not sell him this summer and Bayern do have other candidates on their shortlist.

The 17-year-old is currently valued at €30million by Transfermarkt.com after a breakout season in which he produced 2 goals and 1 assist.

The Bavarian giants remain the favourites to sign the Reds' teenager, but the odds of completing a deal still seems far-fetched.
