Several reports claim that Hugo Ekitike is edging closer to becoming a Liverpool player. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal will be completed for a fee over €90 million. If the bonuses are met, Eintracht Frankfurt will be able to match the reported fee they agreed to sell Randal Kolo Muani a couple of years ago.

Including Omar Marmoush to Manchester City, this will also be their third mega transfer in as many years. The Eagles land more than €250 million on these transfers. They only spent €16.5 million to get the players as Marmoush and Kolo Muani signed as free agents.

Newcastle United were the first to send their offer to Frankfurt, but their €75 million bid was quickly rejected by the Bundesliga outfit. Liverpool, who were initially tempted to push for Alexander Isak, will sign Ekitike on a deal until 2031.
