Lufthansa "awards" Raum Euro 2024 ticket

Another member of Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann's Euro 2024 roster has been confirmed. RB Leipzig fullback David Raum - who had been expected to receive a call up following a rise in form over the past few weeks - was quite literally given a ticket by Germany's Lufthansa airlines. A post on the German air carrier's instagram page featured two air hostesses standing before a flight gate congratulations on booking passage. 

Raum's nomination - together with that of VfB Stuttgart left-back Maximilian Mittelstädt yesterday - almost certainly means that FC Union Berlin's Robin Gosens will not be part of the team. This too had been expected after the 29-year-old and his German club have struggled throughout the course of the Bundesliga campaign. 

Raum is the 17th player confirmed for the squad.
