Leverkusen the latest club to be linked with Füllkrug

Bayer Leverkusen have become the latest club to be linked with Werder Bremen striker Niclas Füllkrug.
Niclas Füllkrug could be on the move within the Bundesliga, with Sport Bild reporting that the Werder Bremen striker is the subject of interest from Bayer Leverkusen.

According to the report, Leverkusen have identified three possible replacements for the long-term injured Patrik Schick, with Füllkrug being one of them.

Another option mentioned by Bild is Real Madrid's 18-year-old Álvaro Rodríguez, who could be sent out on loan.

Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes refused to give anything away.

"I won't talk about names. We will see what options are available and then weigh them up. It's not always easy when you're talking about a number nine, also financially," he said.
