Reports: Bayern may pick up Klostermann to replace Pavard, Simakan and Bella-Kotchap also candidates
Bavaria's Münchener Abendzeitung reports that FC Bayern München are considering bringing in German national team defender Lukas Klostermann from Leipzig as a potential replacement for Benjamin Pavard.
Klostermann's RB teammate Mohamed Simakan and Borussia Dortmund target Armel Bella Kotchap are also in the sights of the German record champs, per Sky.

Meanwhile, the Münchener Abendzeitung and Sportbuzzer both report that Bayern are also considering German national team center back/fullback Lukas Klostermann. The 27-year-old RB Leipzig defender sits on an expiring contract and currently has less playing prospects behind fellow German Benjamin Henrichs in head-coach Marco Rose's squad.
Klostermann's strength as a right fullback may make him an ideal replacement for Pavard. A deal would make sense on many levels. Sky Germany notes that Bayern have also inquired about Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan. Such an expensive transfer for a central defender seems unlikely, though it should be noted that Simakan has experience playing at right-back last season.
Sky also notes that Bayern have interest in German defender Armel Bella-Kotchap of Southampton F.C. The newly capped German senior team international has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern rivals Dortmund. Talks seemed to have stalled on this front as Dortmund prefer a loan.
Bella-Kotchap remains a straight central defender; a position at which Bayern do have depth. Sky reports that the 21-year-old's EFL Championship side seek a €20 million transfer fee for the twice-capped German international.
