Edmond Tapsoba can 'become one of the greatest players in the world,' says his former coach

Edmond Tapsoba has impressed since joining Bayer Leverkusen from Vitória de Guimarães in January. His former coach believes he is destined for one of Europe's top clubs.
Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba has the potential to become one of the world's best players, says his former coach Ivo Vieira.

The 21-year-old has made an instant impact following his January move from Vitória de Guimarães, forcing his way into the starting eleven right away.

And Vieira, the coach of Vitória de Guimarães, believes Tapsoba has everything in his locker to be one of the best centre-back's in the world.

"I'm sure he will continue his development and become one of the greatest players in the world. He can end up where he wants to: At one of the world's biggest clubs," Vieira told Kicker and added:

"Apart from his technique and speed, he has the ability to read the game so he can make the right decisions quickly, which is a very unusual quality for his age."

Tapsoba has made 10 appearances for Leverkusen so far.
