Götze: 'I would have liked to play for 90 minutes'

Mario Götze was happy to be back on the pitch for Borussia Dortmund yesterday, but also admitted he would have liked to play for 90 minutes.
After sitting on the bench for three Bundesliga games in a row, Mario Götze was finally given the chance in Borussia Dortmund's line-up in yesterday's 1-0 win over Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Götze, who was replaced by Shinji Kagawa after 62 minutes, was happy to be back on the pitch, but was honest enough to admit that he would have liked to play the full match.

"I would have liked to play for 90 minutes, especially because the opponent got tired which meant we had the ball more," Götze said after the 1-0 win according to Sport1 and added:

"My aim is always to play for 90 minutes. I believe that will never change. I have already experienced too much and had too much success for that."

Götze will hope to be part of Dortmund's line-up again when the BVB face Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
