The 1990 World Cup winner Lothar Matthäus slammed Joshua Kimmich for the uncertainty regarding his future at FC Bayern. In the Sky90 football talk show, Matthäus talks about potential unrest from dragging contract talks close to the end of the season.

“He’s not 100 percent convinced. Otherwise, he would’ve signed by now. All the questions must be answered as quickly as possible.” says Germany’s record appearance maker. Using the Bosman ruling, the 29-year-old can sign for a new club since his current contract only runs until the end of the season.

Former Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath shared the sentiment of the 63-year-old analyst. “When I was a Bayern coach, we had a similar issue with Michael Ballack. But we already knew about his future by October,” Magath says.

Magath also dragged Jamal Musiala into the discussion. “When you have important players not made up their minds, it’s a very bad situation. All of this should’ve been done a while ago”.

Germany’s captain is also a straightforward person when it comes to interviews. After Bayern conceded three goals at home to Bundesliga debutants Holstein Kiel, Kimmich lamented his team with some strong words. “We’re lacking the hunger for 90 minutes,” said the frustrated midfielder.

Under Vincent Kompany, Kimmich played every minute in all competitions. Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are among the teams interested in his transfer for quite some time.
