Official: Wolfsburg seal Wind capture

Danish striker Jonas Wind has completed his move to Wolfsburg.
VfL Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Jonas Wind from Danish Superliga side FC Copenhagen.

The Danish international forward has put pen to paper on a contract until 2026 with 'Die Wölfe'.

"Jonas has a very good technical ability, both when it comes to receiving and taking the ball with him, finds solutions even in tight spaces, is a good header of the ball and plays very team-oriented," said Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer.

"Although he already has some experience, we are convinced that his development is not over yet and that he will take the next step in his development with us."

Wolfsburg have put a reported €12 million on the table to acquire the 22-year-old Danish striker.

"It has been on the cards for a long time that Jonas would move on from FCK and try his hand at the next level, when the right opportunity came both sportingly and financially for all parties. That day has now come," said FC Copenhagen sporting director Peter Christiansen.

Wind has scored 11 goals in 27 appearances for FC Copenhagen this season.
